At Pain Away of Philly, we provide reflexology a little bit different, we start by soaking the feet into hot water with Chinese medicine, while soaking you will receive shoulder, neck, back, and head massage. Later, your feet will be dried, and you will enjoy the reflexology.
Our approach:
Reflex Points: Reflexologists map the body onto the feet, hands, and ears, dividing them into zones and reflex points. Each reflex point is believed to correspond to specific organs or systems within the body.
Pressure Techniques: The therapist uses their fingers, thumbs, and hands to apply pressure to the reflex points. The pressure is usually firm but should not be painful. This pressure is thought to stimulate energy flow and promote healing in the corresponding areas of the body.
Foot Soak or Warm-Up: Some reflexology sessions may begin with a warm foot soak or gentle massage to relax the feet and prepare them for the reflexology treatment.
Full-Body Connection: Reflexology is based on the principle that the entire body is reflected in the feet, hands, and ears. By working on these reflex points, practitioners aim to create a positive impact on the corresponding organs and systems throughout the body.
